What Is CPR and AED Training?

The CPR and AED course focuses on responding to sudden cardiac arrest, one of the leading causes of medical emergencies in the workplace and community. You’ll learn how to deliver effective CPR, apply the correct chest compression techniques, and use an automated external defibrillator to restore normal heart rhythm.

This practical training combines classroom learning with live demonstrations and real-time practice. You’ll develop the skills to:

  • Identify cardiac arrest and assess an unresponsive casualty
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on adults and children
  • Operate an AED safely and confidently
  • Coordinate with emergency services during cardiac events
  • Understand your legal and practical responsibilities as a first aider

Our trainers follow the latest UK Resuscitation Council standards to ensure your knowledge is up-to-date and meets workplace safety requirements.

Why Is AED and CPR Training Important?

Every minute counts when someone goes into cardiac arrest. Immediate CPR and defibrillation can double or triple the chance of survival. This course gives you the confidence to respond fast and accurately, bridging the gap until professional medical help arrives. Through practical exercises, demonstrations, and scenario-based learning, you’ll gain the essential aid skills to save lives, not just in the workplace, but anywhere a cardiac emergency occurs. Our approach ensures you’re prepared to perform effective CPR and use a defibrillator with confidence in real situations.
